Homework Schedule:

Calming Exercises (YOU CAN ROTATE "SIT ON THE DOG" AND "LONG PLACE" ON OPPOSITE DAYS):

  1. Sit on The Dog 30 + minutes Goal:  To get your dog to lie down on their own steam in five minutes or under.  Week 2 Change: If you like, you can also use YouTube Sound and/or Visual Files.

  2. Long Place  30 minutes if you have time. Goal:  Practice with the leash dropped for 30 minutes.  Week 2: Change Drop Leash and Sit Further Away While Practicing.  If you like, you can also use YouTube Sound and/or Visual Files.

Obedience Exercises:
  1. Sits First Command 5-15 minutes Goal:  To get three sets of four in a row with increased mild distractions like YouTube sound Files, eventually in 5 minutes.  Week 2 Change:  Increase distractions.  Start with YouTube audio files.  If you can do this outside (note I have not done this and expect it will be hard), you can practice then.

  2. Circle Sit Stays  5-10 minutes  Goal: To eventually get four in a row sit stays for 1 minuteNOTE:  This can replace still sit stays for this week.  Although if you are having trouble starting circle sit stays you might want to use "Still Sit Stays" and/or "Sits First Command as a warm up.

  3. Send to Place 6-10 minutes Goal:  To get your dog to step on themselves for times in a row for 3 sets in less than 7 minutes eventually.  Week 2 is the same, although you can use YouTube audio files as a distraction,

  4. Circle Place 6-10 minutes or less Goal:  To eventually get 4 in a row without needing correction for 1 minute.   Also, work on the time achieving this goal to be less than 7 minutes. Week 2 Change:  The leash is now dropped, and you can widen the circles gradually until you can walk around the room.
